A Southern Ocean TANGGO workshop will be held in Grenoble on May 22nd,23rd,24th 2012.
TANGGO is a french research network which aims at better understanding how the various scales of oceanic physical variability control ocean biogeochemical cycles and ecosystems. Within this network, several groups are focusing on biogeochemical cycles in the Southern Ocean. With the recent KEOPS2 field campaign and several new research projects starting in 2012, it is timely to bring together our research community.
The objective of this thematic workshop is to share information about current projects and science studies within in the french community in order to foster collaborations and to identify new methodologies and approaches.
In particular the meeting will bring together modeler, observationists, physical oceanographers, biogeochemists and ecologists. A particular emphasis will be put on French-South African collaborations.
