Résumé/Abstract :
Two examples of applications of the lattice Boltzmann method will be presented. The first example is the simulation of a low Reynolds number cylinder wake. The aim of the study is undertaken with the view to determine whether a shear layer instability occurs at Reynolds numbers as low as 200. The second example concerns the study of localized turbulence generated by low energy pulsed jets in a laminar channel flow.
