Simple active particles in simple flows : a complex behaviour
Particles are exposed to an external flow. We will consider very simple flows, such as linear or cellular flows. In the case of cellular flows, we will compare the numerical and theoretical results with those of an experiment involving active charged colloids sensitive to salt gradients in a horizontal Rayleigh–Bénard cell.
