The French Academy of Sciences and the Institut Mines Telecom awarded their 2019 Espoir Prize to Guillaume Balarac for his work on turbulent flows. These mainly concern the numerical study of the dynamics of turbulence and its consequences in flows of industrial and geophysical interest.
